Welcome, I am The Sea Cat and through this website you can follow my projects, progress and passion for art. I have been interested for as long as I can remember, only in more recent years have I found my true talents, I've been doing embroidery for just over three years. I've also enjoyed making jewellery and other small projects over the years. I try and use as many recycled materials in my work as I can to reduce my carbon footprint. I love being able to bring new life to old unwanted/unused materials. Over the last few years I have struggled with chronic pains which affects my every day life. I have found that losing myself in my art work has helped me with this. I think embroidery has been especially helpful as it's very repetitive and therapeutic. It is an amazing feeling to then be able to share these pieces with you all. As for the name 'The Sea Cat', that came about when I was younger. It was a name I gave penguins for a while (I think because in the water they are very sleek and agile like cats), hence my logo.
By clicking the 'Shop' section you will be taken straight to my Etsy Shop where you can browse my current stock.
You can keep up with any new projects I'm working on, stalls, events etc on the 'Blog' page.
I love to hear your feedback and see photos of your purchases, you can send these to me in the 'Contact' section. You can also use this section to discuss any ideas for commissions or to book in photo shoots (although you can also do this through my modelling account on Instagram or my Purpleport account).
